Majali is the back office property agencies in the United Arab Emirates use for their listings, their leads and their team, with an API that connects their website. This policy explains which personal data Majali handles, why, where it is kept, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website (majali.app), our sign-in and request pages (cloud.majali.app) and the Majali service itself.
Who we are
In this policy, “Majali”, “we” and “us” mean the team that runs Majali. You can reach us at enquire@majali.app. We have two roles:
- When you visit our website or ask us about an account, pricing or a demo, we decide what happens to your details, and we are responsible for them.
- When an agency uses Majali, the agency decides about the data it keeps in it: its listings, its team and the leads that reach it from its own website. We handle that data only on the agency's instructions, to run the service for it. If you contacted an agency through its website, that agency is responsible for your details, so please ask it first.
What we collect
When you ask for an account, pricing or a demo
Your name, your agency, your work email, your phone number if you give it, your message, what you asked for, the language of the page and the moment you agreed to this policy.

When your agency uses Majali
For each person on the agency's team: their name, email and role, and a record of their sign-ins and changes, which keeps accounts secure and shows who did what. For the agency: the listings, photos, team profiles and leads it keeps in Majali, including the names, contact details and messages of the people who contacted it.
When you use our pages
To protect our forms and accounts, we use the IP address of each visit, for example to slow down repeated attempts, and sign-in records keep it. Our forms also use a check that tells people from automated programs. We use no advertising or analytics trackers.
How we use it
- To answer your request and follow it up, with your consent.
- To provide Majali to the agencies that use it, as agreed with them.
- To keep accounts, data and the service secure, and to prevent misuse.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use or share it for advertising.
Where it is kept
Majali, its data, its files and its backups are hosted in the United Arab Emirates, in Abu Dhabi. Client details are encrypted, and backups are made several times a day and kept for a few days. An agency's full-size photos stay in the agency's own Google Drive, which it connects to Majali.
Who helps us
We use a small number of service providers, each only for the purpose below:
- Oracle Cloud, in its Abu Dhabi region: hosting, storage, backups and the emails Majali sends.
- Cloudflare: our domain names, and the check on our sign-in and request forms that tells people from automated programs. Your browser connects to it directly when those forms open.
- Google: the fonts of this website, which your browser loads from Google, and Google Drive for the agencies that connect their own.
- Microsoft: our mailbox, when you write to us.
Some of these providers may handle data outside the United Arab Emirates. We use them only for these purposes, and we choose providers that protect personal data.
How long we keep it
- Requests and emails: as long as we need them to answer you and follow up, then they are deleted.
- An agency's data: for as long as the agency uses Majali. When it leaves, it can first download all of it; we then delete it, and the copies in our backups disappear as those backups expire.
- Security records: for a limited time, then they are deleted.
Your rights
Under the UAE's personal data protection law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), you can ask us:
- which personal data we hold about you, and for a copy of it;
- to correct it, or to delete it;
- to stop or limit its use, or object to it;
- to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before.
Write to enquire@majali.app and we will answer within 30 days. If your request is about data an agency keeps in Majali, we will pass it to that agency and help it answer. You can also complain to the UAE Data Office.
How we protect it
Access is limited to the people who need it, every account is protected by a two-step sign-in, client details are encrypted, and every change is recorded.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies. Our sign-in and request pages use only the cookies they need: to keep you signed in, to keep forms secure and to remember your language. We use no advertising or analytics cookies.
Children
Majali is a service for businesses and is not meant for children.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change matters to the agencies using Majali, we tell them before it applies.
